Kids’ coding & tech classes in Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole

ComputerXplorers Dorset East is run by Sophie. She spent 6 years as a primary teacher and recently decided to focus on two passions of hers, computing education and teaching swimming, to strike a better work-life balance with her husband and 4-year-old son. These experiences in teaching have fuelled an ethos for fun and creativity to be at the heart of all learning, as she believes that’s how children learn the most. As an avid gamer, Sophie believes technology has a big role to play in our future as a society. This means it is more important than ever that computing education teaches children how to use all technology safely, responsibility and purposefully. She hopes the activities on offer can inspire children to become the innovators and digital artists of the future. ComputerXplorers Dorset East currently runs after-school clubs in the BCP and surrounding area. This year, the goal is to grow the after-school club offering along the Jurassic Coast and towards the Dorset/Hampshire border. We’re also looking to start online tutoring, workshops and holiday clubs!
